Microchipping

Microchipping is an inexpensive but very effective way of making sure your pet gets returned to you after running away or escaping from home.

The process of inserting the chip takes place in a normal consultation. No anaesthetic or pain killer is needed. The chip is injected under the skin, usually at the scruff of the neck. This is where it will stay permanently, providing identification to anyone who scans your pet.

The microchip carries a code number unique to your pet. This number is then put on a central register along with your own details.

These days vets, dog wardens, police officers and kennels all scan stray animals for ID chips, so if your pet ever escapes and is handed in to one of these places, a simple, painless 30 second scan reveals his identity and he can be returned straight home to his loving family, rather than having to spend time in a strange environment, hoping he'll be lucky enough to get found by his owner.

For a limited time, we are able to offer FREE microchipping to ALL dogs.
